Mcdonald’s Is Coming Up With A Masala Dosa Burger And We Don’t Know How To Feel About It!

I’m a south Indian and every time I hear someone say how much they love dosas, my mind and stomach literally do a back flip.  But that’s just me. Not a lot of people would agree with me. No, not even McDonald’s.

After ’Indianising’ most of the original menu (Maharaja Burger, are you listening?) McDonald’s is now on a quest to take over the breakfast market by introducing new options on their list of choices which are (*drumrolls*) Masala Dosa burger and the beloved, anda-bhurji not with pav, but with burger buns.

The Masala Dosa burger will be served with ‘molaga pudi’ in an attempt to amalgamate the flavors of Indian and western food. Apart from dosa, it will also sell spinach, corn and hash brown brioches, waffles and hotcakes.

McDonald’s will be introducing their experimental menus in Mumbai on the 13th of Januray and will be followed by nationwide stores. Priced between Rs. 30 and Rs. 135, it will be available from 7 am to 11 am in the outlet.

I’d love to see how McDonald’s will compete with my local Anna's dosa, whose stall is brewing with aromas of onion, curry leaves and mustard.

I don’t know about you, but my Amma is not loving it.
